Challenges and goals
Ziel dieses Teilprojekts ist die Herstellung geeigneter Kathodenmaterialien für Magnesium-Schwefel Batterien auf der Basis von hochpörösen und zugleich hochfesten Carbonfasern auf Basis von Polyethylen und Polyamiden. Die Fasern werden durch eine Temperaturbehandlung zu schwefelreichen Polythiophenen (bis zu 60% S) umgewandelt. Durch die Größe der im Projekt verwendeten Beschwefelungsanlage ist auch die Herstellung größerer Mengen an Kathodenmaterial möglich. Die Fasern werden durch nachfolgende Carbonisierung zu schwefelreichen porösen Kohlenstoffen umgewandelt.
