Das Chemnitz Automotive Institute (CATI) ist ein Forschungs- und Beratungszentrum der TU Chemnitz, das sich auf den Strukturwandel der Automobilbranche spezialisiert hat. Im Bereich Lithium-Ionen-Batterien führt CATI umfangreiche Studien, Marktanalysen und Wertschöpfungskettenanalysen durch. Fokus ist die Batteriezellfertigung in Europa, die Rohstoffverfügbarkeit, Kostensenkungspotenziale sowie die Kompetenzentwicklung entlang der gesamten Batteriewertschöpfungskette.
